Why Is Time In A Clinic Important In Chiropractic Schools?

A Chiropractic Doctor hasn't been very well understood in terms of their healthcare practitioner role within the medical system. Over the last one hundred years the profession has faced a lot of scrutiny and challenges to become one of the most utilised services within the health care model. Many of the misconceptions regarding the chiropractic profession have arisen from a lot of preconceived ideas the public has formed regarding medical treatment. The medical model has predominantly been focused on a symptom oriented care model or allopathic philosophy, which primarily is the prescribing of drugs and performing surgeries. Health care has evolved more rapidly in the last twenty years than perhaps it has at any other time in the last century. Mostly in the understanding that health is not merely the absence of symptoms and disease and that drugs and surgery, although necessary for crisis intervention and emergency situations is not really the true essence of health and vitality. As seasons change some children appear to have an endless number of coughs, colds and runny noses. These are often explained as a normal part of growing up. But are these constant infections "normal"? To understand why young children get recurrent colds (upper respiratory tract Infection or URTI), it is important to understand how we come in contact with the organisms that cause infection and how our bodies protect us. What causes a cold? The organisms that cause coughs, colds and runny noses are found in the air (they are airborne). These organisms enter our bodies through our noses and mouths. This is why it is important to teach children to cover their face and mouth when they cough or sneeze. When a child who is infected coughs or sneezes millions of tiny organisms are propelled into the air. If breathed in by other people they also may become infected, and so it spreads. Getting a steady flow of patients into your chiropractic office can often be difficult, simply because there is often less call for chiropractic treatment than there is for other methods of treatment. Still, a surprising number of people who would visit your office are unable to do so simply because they have no idea that you exist. If you are interested in attracting more clients into your chiropractic office, you will find that you have hundreds of ways to do so at your fingertips. When it comes to attracting clients to your chiropractic office, you will find that the internet is one of the most powerful tools that you have at your disposal. The majority of the people in the country have access to a computer and the internet, which means that the internet is one of the most powerful tools that you have at your disposal to reach millions of people around the country. There is NO justification for teaching medicine to chiropractic students or requiring medical education at chiropractic schools. The two professions have totally opposite philosophies and really are separate and distinct. In most states, it is illegal for the chiropractor to either make a medical diagnosis or prescribe even over-the-counter drugs for simple symptom relief. Personally, I think it's a good thing that chiropractors have a narrow scope of practice. From an economics standpoint, it is almost impossible for a new chiropractor to survive in practice. It's virtually impossible for a new chiropractor to survive in practice without heavy third-party reimbursement or participating in multi-level marketing or by having a part-time job. Here's the truth. If people want Medicine, they'll go to a medical doctor. DIFFERENT from the medical approach. If all a chiropractor offers is medical LITE, he/she is simply not a good alternative. Hence, many chiropractors fail in practice.
